The American Heart Association Heartcode ACLS course is for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This course covers basic life support skills, recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest, peri-arrest conditions, airway management, related pharmacology, management of ACS and stroke, management of post-cardiac arrest, and effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team.

Students are required to complete the "Heartcode ACLS" online modules prior to attending the hands-on training session. The online module can be purchased at: http://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-acls.

ACLS Student Audience

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course is intended to develop knowledge and skills for personnel staffing emergency, intensive care, or critical care departments. This ACLS course is intended for licensed and credentialed healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency. Unlicensed personnel are not able to take this course.

One of our HSHS department admins will reach out to you with Registration and Class details and will add you to the sign up list.
